New Zealand have salvaged some pride with a 51 run win in this dead rubber. Brilliant bowling from Southee and Bond set up this victory. The Aussie batsmen struggled to get going on a difficult pitch, with only Watson and Michael Hussey showing some confidence. However, the talking point will be Umpire Baxter's umpiring, the umpiring in his match was absolutely poor and thus Australia would feel hard pressed. In the end, Australia win the Chapell-Hadlee series 3-2
